Few Southern California law firms have tried to verdict wins in complex cargo ship “allision” cases – the underlying maritime catastrophe having occurred in the Kanmon Straits in Japan (see Ceramic Corp. of America v. Extensive Experience Representing Maritime Claims
Apart from “blue water” experience at the highest level, our Firm’s attorneys distinguished themselves in a series of undefeated arbitration trial wins for a barging company, against the West’s largest independent refiner. One hundred percent of principal, interest and attorneys’ fees collected.
On the personal injury side, we are panel counsel for a major international marine insurer and recently secured summary judgment for the vessel owner – and against a plaintiff with over $100,000 in medical bills.
We also have substantial experience representing yacht dealers, manufacturers and owners on a wide variety of claims, including insurance coverage, Song Beverly, Moss Magnuson and breach of contract.
